USFan, how long is the drive to Chapel Hill from Tampa, do you know?

I have never gone straight from Tampa to Raleigh/Chapel Hill/Durham.

I have gone from Tampa to Charlotte because of the Bowl game and because of my internship over the summer and that took about 8.5 hrs (+/- 15 mins, one/two stops).

I would assume that you would be taking I-95 for over 450 miles instead and it's about 100 miles more (compared to the Charlotte drive).

If you go about 70 mph... Then it should take you less than 10 hours (assuming that you are driving/eating at the same time  ).

i' d guess it is very similar to the drive to Knoxville, so around 10-11 hours

which pisses me off cause it is going to be like 6 hours for me from Knoxville to Chapel Hill... **** long states

At least you'll be driving the scenic route through the mountains.

The others should be arriving between 9pm and 11pm... 3 different flights.

Getting in late Friday night myself and leaving Monday morning... it's been almost a year since I've seen them in person... I'm friggen stoked!

Me + 3, arriving Fri afternoon.  Just checked the 10-day on weather.com, next thursday is showing high of 70 and rain 60%.........hopefully a front moving through for the game!  Regardless it'll be a nice change from the 90+ here.  Can't wait!

I'm getting clowned by Ratner and Andy on a message board?  That's like having albinos make fun of you for being too pasty.  I don't know if I should acknowledge this, or just silently mock them in pity from a distance.  I choose the latter...

I'll be loading up the IPod for this one for sure.  And if you kids get out of line, Bullsmania will be loaning me his taser, as well as not training me to use it correctly.  So for the safety of everyone involved, I'd suggest everyone have a nice glass of "shut the hell up" until at least noon on Friday.  I've been diagnosed with severe insomnia, so 7am isn't exactly prime time for me.

Now that the time is set, I am going to fly in the day of the game at 11:30 am, watch the game and fly out the same night at 7 pm. It is cheaper for me to fly ($118.00) versus driving up (approximately $120.00 in gas plus mileage on my car).

Anyone know if tickets are still available through the athletic dept?

I just bought my tickets from USF last week. They will probably have them until October 6th, as that is one week before the game.
