Just having Ponton would be enough to be 5-0 right now.  Any type of running game would have been enough to win us the last 2 games.

Why not Chambers ?

I have neither.

I was thinking this morning about our running depth. Last year's #2 gets 6 game suspension. Last year's #3 transfers. This year's #1 gets injured on the first drive of the season.

I still think the O-line has something to do with the running game also ... we'll know for sure in NC.

Agreed, I was thinking the same thing last night. Although they don't prevent Tra Williams from mounting a guy while he is laying down and don't kick field goals, any running game would have helped when they started bringing the pressure. What was the longest non-Grothe run, 8-yards by B. Williams?

Since we're deep at WR his absence isn't as glaring as Ponton's and Julmiste's. RB and DL are two areas where we need improvement right now and depth.

Kicking and punting did not hurt us against Kansas.

You can say our kicker cost us the game against RU, but we had plenty of chances.  We also had turnovers and a dropped 2-pt conversion.

Our Kicker and Punters, however, cost us from blowing out our first 3 opponents.

The lack of a running game has been a factor in our losses. Think about how honest the opposing Defense would have to be if we had a running game. Matt would have more time to pick defenses apart.

I don't blame Ricky and Josh....I blame the coaching staff and administration for their lack of mentoring to keep these kids from going to the darkside.  If these guys have that much of an impact on the team, then wouldn't it behoove the team as a whole to ensure their starters are 1)Physically fit 2)Mentally prepared and 3)Lay off the G*D D#@M weed!!!
