I would prefer MG start and lead the team wire to wire this year, in preperation for next year and beyond but I am 90% sure they both will get PT. If CJL doesn't get Grothe in during this game then he is truely blinded by rage and should be medicated. We have had two plus years of not preping another QB and thats enough.

You ever notice that you are always angrier when you know you are wrong and are on the defensive? I was thinking that maybe at the last minute, CJL realized that he may be to blame for this offense and knows he is stuck with it for another year and is lashing out at everything.

My guess is that PJ starts and plays the first half.  MG plays the second half with the first team offense for a few series.

Puc86, I'm glad you mentioned that. Our preview tab is done in advance and we can't list more than one starter per position. That's why when I listed Grothe I mentioned it's just a hunch he gets start. After the preview section was printed in advance a couple of days ago, I learned Wednesday that Julmiste had been named one of the captains. And as I wrote in my USF column today, it's unlikely Julmiste would be named a captain and not start at least the season opener. Thanks for bringing it up.
