Am I the only one already getting worried about next year?

As long as Ponton and Plancher are healthy and the lb's keep destroying people, I'm cool ....... I'm getting used to it.

I am willing to bet it all that PJ will not play one single down for us in 2008.  ;D

if we start with a redshirt freshman or inexperienced sophmore be prepared for a roller coaster ride with the offense.

The past 3 years haven't prepared us enough?

IF we have to have another UP and DOWN offense this season then I would rather do it with a redshirt freshmen or a true sophomore than an Sr.

I was worried last year ... but have heard some good things that make me calm.

I have also heard some bad things ...

After last years Spring Game, the QBs were not good and we did not see Denson. Then we saw Denson and nothing made us feel good throughout the season.

Lets wait for the Spring Game and then we can make a better decision.

Whoa Big Fella...That's a mighty thin tree limb you've climbed out on.  How about the 2007 limb?  That medical redshirt just screams structural failure for 2007...huh?  :)

Great minds think alike!  I had to take the medical redshirt into account or else I figured with my luck, it would surely bite me in the dark hairy place on which I sit.

Or, a new OC/QB coach who can develop them?

ding ding ding!

about grothe so he can't throw a pass 80 yds but he is deadly accurate hitting WR in stride under 40 yds.

isn't that what's needed in the spread that we run?

Look at how deadly WVU's offense was when White became the QB. That's the spread offense we would like to become and WVU proved it can be very successful with passing about 15 times a game. As long as we have an accurate QB who will keep opposing D's honest I feel we will be fine. We have good RB's and WR's. Now it's time for someone to get the WR's the ball.

The more the spring goes along makes me feel Matt will be our starter on 9/2. He's moved up quickly in these last 2 weeks and it will be nice to see what he can do on 4/15.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
