Any time you can get a coordinator from another school to come in as your position coach, that is a good thing I think, especially if he is young and has instate HS connections.

South Florida fans probably won't have to worry about the D has long as Leavitt is there.  It's the other side of the ball that has more issues that deserve criticism.

BULL SCBULL-LEAVITT HAS NOT HIRED A GOOD ASSISTANT FOR YEARS AND OUR BEST ARE LEAVING.

LEAVITT DOESNT GET RID OF  OBVIOUSLY BAD COACHES IN SMITH AND DAWSEY

LEAVITT ISNT EVEN A GOOD D1 COACH SO FOR YOU TO PUT HIS NAME IN SAME SENTENCE AS LOMBARDI IS SILLY

thats why he has received offers from two big time programs in the past 3 years to become their new head coach.

Offer's do not make someone a great coach.....Jim Leavitt's tenure at USF while commendable certainly doesn't even begin to come close to being classified as "A Great Div 1A Coach".

Look at his win-loss records in conference:

 

C-USA 8-8;  Big East 4-3.

Conference Titles  : None:

 

Bowl Games : 0-1

And where exactly in this thread did someone call CJL "A Great Div 1A Coach"? Having a little reading comprehension problem?

Seriously, the more you post the harder it's getting for you to hide your Kanigit traits. Why not just stop the charade......

Gee...where does Jim Leavitt coach...in Div 1A or on the local sandlot?

BTW,  in the short time I been on this site...I have seen   JL referred to as a "Great Coach" a number of times, something I find to be laughabull.
