USF Hats and clothes

You should not have to have the very basic Champion college sweatshirt custom-made. They should be in every single bookstore and establishment. You can go to downtown Oxford or Athens and find them in every store, right up front.

What is the most embarassing is that I went to Steve & Barry's and found very nice clothes for schools like Robert Morris or Xavier but only a small handful of USF gear, all of it horrendously ugly. Where are the stores that sell five for $10 college shirts like any other campus? It really can only be explained if there's some hitch in the licensing process, and that's why all our USF gear sucks.

(For the record, I know that those sweatshirts were made once upon a time, though curiously lacking the word "of." My roommate's simply reads "University South Florida" which is fine by me, and I would borrow it except she's a girl, and it smells like girl. I don't want to smell like girl."

I agree with Ari.  I have spent hours in Victoria Secrets and can not find any USF stuff.  I just don't understand.

Wow!...a baby doll teddy with a USF logo would be more powerful than a bottle of viagra.    Anyway, my cap is black with a green iconic U.  It's the best cap I've ever had.  My biggest complaint about the USF clothes is all USF XXL polo shirts, no matter the price, shrink so you can't tuck them in after 3 wash/dry cycles.  Lastly, I finally rec'd my first nice XXL USF sweatshirt.   Been looking for yrs for a nice non-hoody sweatshirt.

Sports Authority had high quality dark green crewneck sweatshirts with University of South Florida embroidered on the front in gold...MSRP $39.95

on sale in December for $24.95...very nice..it seems that most people prefer USF or Bulls...otherwise they wouldn't have had them on clearance.

I did not read any of the response posts so I have no clue if someone mentioned this yet, but CHAMPS at the UNVIERSITY MALL had a good selection of shirts and sweatshirts while I was there today.  They even had a kids shirt.  The more we purchase from there the more they and other stores will sell our geer.  Can't wait for a large brand to pick us up so we can get some better geer/swag.

Why don't we emphasize the black a little more.  Black and green are the stronger of the three colors.  Never been a fan of the gold.

Not to worry about the band's unis.  I have heard that for the 2006 football season they will have new unis.

Ari - the shop outside the Swamp is not their bookstore...it's basically their Nike sales center (anything Nike makes for UF you can find there). Their bookstore is located in Reitz Union and it's not that much bigger and doesn't offer much more selection than USF's. Most bookstores offer less than you can find at other stores  in the surrounding areas and I wouldn't consider USF's deficient.

If nothing else, Ari's post does reinforce the need for a bigger brand like Nike to takeover our apparel. You'd see more USF stuff in stores around the country.

I actually like this hat pasted above.  Don't care much for the gold.  But maybe a white hat with that green "U" logo would look good....

IF Ari was talking about the Bookstore's selection, I totally agree. As a non-student, I've been there 4 times. All 4 times as a "last resort" looking for merchandise......and came away very, very, VERY disappointed.
