Pulling scholarships is a VERY dangerous thing to do.  That is why recruiting is so important.  I would assume Leavitt would have an extra one around.  If he gives the other kickers schollie away, HS coaches will not like that.

Now, if he gets that kicker to quit the team of his own free will, well that is a different story.

Agree with Bulliever, this isn't the pro's. You can't just yank a scholarship for just sucking it on the field. Let's trust Levitt on his decision and stop second guessing him. The amount of college football "coaches" on this board is amazing ::) Levitt is the BEST thing to happen to USF football, PERIOD.

Leavitt is Only thing to happen to USF football as far as a head coach goes.  Who is to say another guy couldn't have done as well or better.

It's too early to tell when the Peter Principle will kick in.

Exactly! I think Benzer is being a bit harshly criticized. Remember, he was the kicker early in the season who was in there when we were having bad snaps and holds on FG and PAT's.

Bronson did have a pretty good year. I'm sure if there is a scholarship around after 2/1 that he will get it.

Most major programs don't have kickers on scholarship.
