Here's a list of 10 and CAAR is not on it:

Scott Drew and Dusty May are out, so who should the Louisville Cardinals pursue to replace Kenny Payne as their college basketball coach?

Pay the man. You finally have positive momentum for the men’s basketball program, Athletics, and the university. Now is not the time to balk.

He’s getting paid for what he’s doing. He certainly wasn’t paid to do less.

CAAR’s name is going to show up on a lot of these lists - some of it may be real, most of it will probably be journalist BS (because they have to report something)

I would be shocked if a big program seriously went after him after a single good year in the AAC

Fully agree.  There are more accomplished out there.  And those that have done it in a conference that gets more than one or two bids to the NCAA tournament.  As much as you don’t want to believe this people, the conference is a very low bar.

Lucky for us, he is going to have to show that this season was not a fluke.  If he gets a little history here, in addition to what he accomplished prior, then yes, he will get offers.

We already have a thread addressing these unfounded rumors ...

..... and Danny Sprinkle should probably be on any list before CAAR.

Perhaps.  Unfortunately, the conference will be weaker too. Needs to show he can recruit, too.  There is no rush to extend him.  That would be a rookie move.

Six Mountain West teams made the NCAA tournament.

If he has another great year and makes the ncaa tournament,He will be gone. You have to step in early or else we will be back to the old usf hoops.Up his raise now and bigger buyout, if he has a great year and he leaves it probably will be more then just money at that point, but we tried.

There is no step in early. He has no reason to sign a contract that won’t allow him to buy it out to go to a bigger school. We just need to understand that and live with that.  Unless we hire a man of high standing, which I think he is, that understands he can have a great life here, he’s gone.  Then throwing more money on top, doesn’t matter.

That’s why getting passed over by P5 conferences has nearly put the death hold on us.

I was looking up Ryan Odom and was surprised that he left Utah State for VCU, since the Mountain West (at least currently) is a better conference than the A10

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
