What is the best record we have ever had for men's basketball?   Thanks.

Yes, it depends on what you mean by "best record."

In 1976 we hade the highest winning percentage at 19-8 (.704).

In 1990 we went 20-11, won the conference tourney and went to the NCAA tourney, losing in the first round.

In 2012 we went 22-14 and went to the second round of the NCAA tourney.

I know this was discussed before what is USF highest ranking.  I thought I remember being 21 when it was top just top 20 or was it 26?  This was the closest thing I could drum up.  Does anyone else know for sure?

In 2019 we went 24-14 and won the CBI.

2019: 24 wins = most total wins in program history
2024: 13 wins = most conference wins in program history

20 wins in the regular season is the most regular season wins for USF already.

Total wins is within reach for sure.

This was my error... for some reason I wrote 20 above, but then switched to 13 for this silly mistake:
Total wins, however ... Gonna be hard to get 11 more wins.

There are 4 more regular season games... only3 in AAC tourney because of byes.

USF would have to get 4 more wins in the NCAAT just to tie... that's reaching the Final Four

If most *total* wins in program history is 24 and we're at 20, we only need 4 unless I am missing something.

Most *conference* wins I believe is 13 which is where we are now with 4 games in the reg season left.

No... that was my mental error.

Revising my post.
