He seems to have dropped off from how he coached years ago. Kind of reminds me of how Denny Crum started to fade away at UL. I do believe Calipari will be retired in the not so distant future. I guess the question is who will UK replace him with. They better stay away from USF’s coach lol

He left his high school team in his hometown that plays in a field house named after his older brother so he could play for a team in Georgia and possibly make some $$$$$. He also was considering the G League so he could get paid (not sure that option will continue to be there). So while he may decide to play here, I can see where people are weary of him choosing to take less money to play with his brother at USF over playing at Kentucky. Also, he's apparently got a deal with Adidas, and it's been made pretty clear he's a one-and-done anyway, so the NIL difference between Kentucky and USF may not matter as much as it would with other blue chippers. He's stated several times he wants to go to a coach that he thinks will best prepare him for the NBA. Have to think seeing his hometown team with his brother gel and develop the way they have this season has had a positive impact in that regard.

See where Aaron Bradshaw, Rob Dillingham and others rate. these are just projections. not sure they are anywhere near actual. even still their top basketball player is said to be worth $734,000. most of that coming from national brands that have nothing to do with kentucky. Sheppard #25 overall and 4th at kentucky has a deal with an orthodontics company. most of this money comes from shoe companies. not saying they should or would but I'd guess our top donors could easily clear that number.
