Dropped another one today 5-0 ... no hitting although the guy we faced today looks pretty legit.   Error by Boser at 2B led to a couple unearned runs but looks like Cebert threw well overall.  Not sure why Boser pops back into the infield.   Gonna have to figure out the bats soon

18 innings, 9 hits, 1 run . . . we’ve come out smoking, man!

Won the first one today 10 - nil and up 9-1 in the 6th inning of the night cap.  Boser with a dinger in this one.   Too many free passes from the pitchers today but made some good pitches when necessary against a clearly overmatched squad.     Montes just jacked one as well.

Projected starter for Marist tomorrow threw well last weekend against Southern Miss so might be a little more competitive game

Watched Friday’s game and the first game of today’s DH. So tell me this, what is the tasty treat the first base coach gives our baserunners when they get a hit? Scooby snack for a hit? Watch for it when you see a game: the coach takes the baserunner’s elbow pads, gloves, etc. and hands the runner something that he puts in his mouth.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
