It is looking like FAU is getting at large NCAA bid as an 8 seed as long as they finish strong. So as long as FAU doesn’t win the AAC it should get at least 2 teams maybe 3 teams in the Big Dance.

The goal is to win every game and win the conference title but, at a minimum, the goal for USF should be to finish in the top 4 of the conference (preferably the top 2) and earn the double-bye in the

Well, assuming we beat SMU and they don't win the conference tourney, they'll have at least 10 losses. I don't think they're getting into the tournament from the AAC with 10 losses. In this scenario, we'd be the other team with FAU for the AAC to have 2 teams in. This assumes everyone wins out except our win over SMU and their conference tourney loss, and we win the tournament. If we don't win, theres a tiny chance we get in if we lose a very close game to FAU in the championship.

Charlotte lost to Tulsa so any two wins gets us the one seed in the aac tourny.

No pretty much about it... It's done. Now the goal has to be to win the remaining 3 regular season games and get to that conference championship game!

I didn't think we'd clinch the double bye until UAB was out of the picture ........ but now they are.

We did with the SMU victory. That gave us a 4 game lead on SMU and guaranteed no worse than a 4th place finish as SMU plays UAB in the final game of the season. It was impossible for USF not to finish top 4.

That's what I was missing ...... thanks.

Edit: That SMU/UAB game doesn't matter as far as us and the double bye, does it? The SMU win did it all by itself ...... and not sure why I didn't see that.

That's correct. The caveat I was giving was for prior to the SMU game. I was tired when I responded to you.
