Hi Bullpeners,

We have two gaps on our schedule for 2025 and 2026.   With the changes in the leagues coming, FSU leaving the ACC and others what do you think about the following?

1.  Is USF leadership taking our time to fill those gaps because of the changes they see coming?

2.  With CAG, will he help bring in a big name with his contacts and relationships to help replace?

3. Does our stadium have any impact on our future schedule and if so what?

4. Does the turn around of our program prevent big or mid-tier programs from wanting to come play us?

Looking forward to reading the comments and thoughts.

What are the gaps? Is this no longer accurate?

2025

2026

Don't think there are gaps, just that AAC hasn't confirmed schedules for obvious reasons.

1. I think leadership has shown they are focused on improving Athletics.

2. thru 4. I think it all rides on receiving money from the host team.

I think with the upcoming CFP 12 teams and seeing what happened with Liberty this year.

Going forward having ONE P school in schedule at most should be the goal. Going 13-0 or at worst 11-2 will be needed to have a shot at CFP

With the size of our new stadium, doubt we will be getting many big schools coming in.

Yep, my fault, I saw TBD and that was for the conference schedule.  Apologize.

Argh!   This is why I desire a bigger venue.  I know it will expandable.  Where are we going though?   Shouldn't we plan for bigger and for the conference realignment that is needed?

I think it should be minimum two. I hear what you're saying about the record but trying to play an aggressive ooc sched  has been a part of our DNA and it shouldn't change. Liberty got lucky that they didn't stumble in conference with their **** ooc sched. Do realize that it may be tougher once we downsize stadiums to get real high profile programs in here, though ...

Has anyone ever addressed using Ray Jay for the big games?

An option.  Not sure about building so small that we would need to do that often.

But we tend to get like one big non conference game a year at home if we are lucky.
