They'll be all sorts of rumors, lies, etc. but the bottom line is the money made the difference.  Matt Grothe suggested he got the same NIL from USF that Auburn gave him - not even close, at all.  Light years apart....

The point is, prepare for these mistakes.  Hopefully many can learn.  If it's money you're after, you have an entire lifetime to earn/create wealth.  If it's football you love, go somewhere where you can play.  Don't get paid to be a depth piece.  These young guys have too many people screaming in their ears about money - as if they're all a number 1 pick or will NEVER have another chance in life.  It's sad.  As if money were #1.  Sad to see it happen to a nice young man like Brian.  I hope he gets back on the field in a good situation.

Perfectly stated Brad.

I really thought Brian leaving wasn't a good move for him, especially seeing who we had coming in as our coach and the type of offense that we were going to run. Brian would have put up even better stats than he did in his first 2 season with us.

100%, but you don't always realize that when young.

True but while some us of have our prime earning years in our 40’s others it may be now.  He gets injured last year with us and he never receives his true worth.  Earn it early and more time for it to compound.  The decision made sense IMO.

Compound?  You mean don't spend it?  LOL

As though he can't do anything else in life?

I just saw one of our former football players graduate with a doctorate in Physical Therapy...I think that's what it was.  His earning years are ahead of him.  Do something with your life.

Do something with the fantastic education offered to you.  Then you won't be a one trick pony forced into rash decisions based in the moment.
