The only two games that count the Big  10 was victorious, others were scrimmages.  Your SEC bias is showing, not sure how you have it but you do.

😆  Auburn and Maryland was the conference kingmaker.

Well, after all is said and done, the only no-loss team in FBS will be crowned Monday.  Though I don't agree with much of it, something was done correctly in the last year of the CFP and bowl system as we know it.

I think I 99.9% disagree with you. This wouldn’t be like adding the last piece of the puzzle to challenge the playoff committee. But IMO it would ruin any chance at year 3 with BBrown.

Then CAG brings in another guy to run his offense.  It could be the final piece.  Who knows.  You don't pass on a Heisman trophy finalist.  But again it's a moot point.

If we are going after any elite bounty hunter player with nil money then we need to focus on defense a stud db, lb,or dl. Penix isn't coming here period.

I prefer the old bowl game system vs each successive garbage idea that has come out.  It was simple - all games were played by the end of New Year's Day, and the pollsters picked a winner.

Today they pretend that they have a playoff, but the pollsters still pick who is in it.   So, you still get clowns like Nick Saban whining to the press that it would be a tragedy to leave out the SEC, even though there was another P5 undefeated team that won its conference championship game.   The playoff selection committee turns it into a popularity contest and puts Alabama over FSU.   The entitled FSU starters decide that defending their school's honor is not as important as getting selected in the 7th round of the NFL draft and subsequently getting cut in training camp, so they sit out the Orange Bowl, thus making it the Sour Grapes Bowl.   FSU gets destroyed, thus proving the playoff committee's point.
FSU gets the Eric Cartman "screw you guys, I'm going home award" for their pathetic narcissism.

It was poetic justice that Alabama lost on an embarrassing play in OT where the QB tripped over his own lineman.   Miami Dolphins fans cheered "Thanks for Tua Tagovailoa, but we are still pissed at how you left the team high and dry after abandoning the Dolphins to coach Alabama."

It must have been fun to be a fly on the wall at the Ponder house during bowl season.   Christian Ponder's FSU team got humiliated, but Samantha Ponder could only gloat for a short time since her Liberty team got destroyed as well, proving that the Sun Belt does not even belong in the G5.

I hate all systems, especially those that carry a veneer of "logic" and "impartiality."

Penix is going pro.  The thing was a hypothetical from the beginning.  IF Penix had eligibility left and wanted to come here ... you bring him here in a second.

I preferred the BCS ranking structure when it was 1/3 computers, 1/3 AP poll and 1/3 secret committee.  Coaching changes and player injuries should not sway any of the voting.

It was centralized so it could be manipulated.  So we have gotten the same 3 teams every year because they are brand names.  It's nice to see some new blood.
