So currently we have 10 conferences and there are 6 automatic conference champ invites. 

Then the remaining are the highest rank by the college committee? Sure it will be from the P5 ...

We need to win the conference and be undefeated (most likely) to get in?

FSU looking silly crying about not making the playoffs down 28-3. Georgia had a much better case being in the playoffs. I do know they are missing a lot of players but this is still a major bowl,

Only 9 conferences eligible next year and pretty sure they're going to the top 5 conference champs and 7 at-large ...... and if we go undefeated we'd be a lock for the playoffs but may still be possible with a loss or two depending on how things play out elsewhere and who the losses are to.

My guess is before the season starts they will clearly specify the 12 teams will be the P4 conference champs, highest ranked G5 conference champ plus the 7 remaining highest ranked at large.  All 12 will be seeded by the committee so 12 plays 5, 11-6, 10-7 and 9-8.

Going undefeated in the ACC didn't help FSU this year. I realize that the situation is different next year.

I thought their SOS was in the 50 range. 
 

Get used to that because if we go undefeated in our conference, we’ll have a strength of schedule probably 80-90. 
 

“Going undefeated” as the knuckleheads to the east did isn’t a pass to a national championship.

I do know they are missing a lot of players but this is still a major bowl, and their biggest bowl in quite some time.
