Supposedly on schedule. I doubt changing firms was the original plan.

Okay, don't want to say I said in the OCS thread earlier today that something is going south given the crickets, but I will.  I was told my feeling was silly.  Imagine we'll need to pay the original firm $10 million or so for work completed.  $350 million better build us a palace with shade and comfortable seats.  That being said, I'm still excited about having the OCS no matter when it opens.

Good. We don't need to settle for the first thing that comes along.

If athletics and the foundation do not show concern with this change, we have to trust that whatever is being done with this change is for the better.  Next weeks meeting will be very interesting.

Makes that 12/5 meeting ever more interesting now lol

Yea, it would be nice after the meeting, or even sooner if possible, to have a public statement or a tweet by Kelly to confirm that the stadium is still on schedule with the same price tag.

The article quotes a public spokesperson; but it be nice to hear it from the top.

My hope that they have reconsidered the size and are opting for larger capacity is still alive!

Think the concern might be what we are getting for that money; hence, the comment about control of the design and cost. Which is somewhat odd that the current firm wouldn’t have be able to accommodate such a request. I would have thought that was the model for building stadiums.

Mike Kelly knows we are getting into the AAC in 2025.

They are going to announce the capacity will now be 45k (expandable upto 60k).

.... I wish...

The wording from the spokesperson definitely is a bit of PR fluff. Not saying it's the end of the world, far from that. But my guess is that for what USF wanted feature-wise, the contractor wouldn't be able to meet it price wise. So now back to looking at a few other bids to try and get more competitive cost estimates.
