Do the guys in the portal play in bowl games? Do you think that would have any effect on when they would enter?

I think the ones that transfer have to wait until next season to play with new team

He is Grad Transfer so he can play immediately.

I think for the next season a grad transfer has immediate eligibility but you can't play for a new team within the same season.

Technically, there is no rule preventing it.  However, entering the transfer portal tends to mean "I don't want to be on this team any more" so most schools consider it a form of quitting and only play the players who WANT to be there.

Besides, if a player wants to both play in the bowl game AND enter the transfer portal, they can enter the portal after the game.  The window is 30 days from December 3rd -- which is January 2nd.

I dont  thinks  anyone thinks they are playing for a new team in the bowl game. He would be eligible to play next year.

Does the team take the normal travel team, or do they allow the full roster? Curious if a coach would allow it.

Exactly. Would be a very unfair advantage to have teams change while in mid season due to portal players

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
