Meh. Duke is not a football school. I guess the AD at T A&M saw something in him. Still would’ve liked to see the Ragin Roadkill’s coach for the role.

He was there DC in Jimbo's best years at TAMU. We will have to wait and see how it works out.

Billy Napier In Trouble At Florida?

According to some close to the program via insider message boards, Florida head coach Billy Napier’s job at Florida is not set in stone. Reportedly, this will take some gauging of interest to see where the Gators stand from other potential candidates before they make a move, however.

Apparently, UF has approached the following head coaches to gauge their interest in taking over the program:

  • Arizona HC Jedd Fisch
  • JMU HC Curt Cignetti
  • Kansas State HC Chris Klieman
  • Liberty HC Jamey Chadwell
  • Toledo HC Jason Candle
  • Washington HC Kalen DeBoer

Any chance ex-CWT finds a new “dream job” in this round of the carousel?

Feeling out coaches to take a job before actually firing the current one ...... classy.

The A&M hire seems stupid. I don’t see that working out. Also, IMHO, Napier is gone.

I agree. Not a good look. I wonder if this will shake things up recruiting wise. If their instability means we can land some decent talent that would really help us out.

Not sure why.  He had success as the DC at A & M and then had success as a HC at Duke.  I do agree that the SEC is a different animal from the ACC though.  It may or may not work out, but I'd say it's a reasonable hire

Really not a great year this year. If you can’t win in the ACC the SEC will destroy you. Seems risky. Maybe I’m wrong. Guess we’ll see.
