Sean Lewis maybe leaving Colorado to take over San Diego State

Interesting considering he was pried away from Kent State to become prime's OC.  Wonder if things are even rockier than they appeared to be?

I read that his play calling duties were taken away for the last few games of the season.

Trent Bray is now the HC at Oregon State. Was their DC. I think this is an ok move because it shouldn’t impact us recruiting wise, and doesn’t create an opening that could siphon away recruits.

Respectfully he is elite as a position coach and was not shown the door at South Florida. He was at Indiana as a HC but not everyone is cut out to be a HC and that's ok.

He was incredible as a DC during his one year here as we were ranked first in scoring defense in the AAC and top 25 nationally in just about every defensive category. He left us for Indiana and turned their 120 ranked defense around pretty quickly.

Regardless I do not believe any major coaching changes will happen after year one under Golesh. Essentially everyone gets a pass when attempting to turn a 1 win team around.

Actually ranked 5th in the AAC in Scoring Defense. Below (in order) UCONN (15th), Temple (17th), Houston (20th), Navy (26th)

The Defense was Top 25 in TFL's (13th), Turnovers Gained (24th), INT's (14th). Just outside Top 25 with Sacks (26th), Rush Defense (31st), Scoring Defense (35th)

They were ranked 52nd overall, which Total Defense is based on yards allowed.

Years before and after below:

Chuck Bresnahan:

Scoring Defense in 2014: 65th

Total Defense in 2014: 69th

Raymond Woodie:

Scoring Defense in 2016: 92nd

Total Defense in 2016: 120th

Brian Jean-Mary

Scoring Defense in 2017: 41st

Total Defense in 2017: 37th

After leading Tulane to one of the best stretches in school history, Willie Fritz has been hired as Houston's new football coach.

Top team in the AAC loses their head coach. I think we're going to see that consistently going forward. We need to find more money quickly or it will be a perpetual cycle of going through coaches until we find a bad one we are stuck with and having to rebuild from the ground up over and over.

Yes.  Yet look at SMU signing their coach to an extension.  The money keeps flowing at SMU.  The bonus is they get to move to the ACC.
