Pretty simple. Best 4 teams would be UM, Wash, Texas, Bama.

Would be FSU if Travis was still playing. No Travis though, it's not possible to justify that FSU team being better than Bama. Their strength of schedule is way below Bama's and their best win is the same as Bama's 3rd or 4th I saw someone say. After looking it up it was pretty accurate.Would be a heck of a playoff with Bama and Mich in Pasadena and Wash/Texas in the other

You can’t set a precedent and keep unbeaten FSU out, and Bama/Georgia can’t argue against it if they want the same consideration if it happened to their QB.

I think it is Michigan Washington BAMA FSU. BAMA has the best wins out of the teams with one losses. I don't think FSU is better than Texas or Georgia because they played a weaker schedule in and out of conference. FSU without theur STAR QB is dead on arrival versus any of the top 6 teams. If they get FSU a ny6 bowl they will get blown out and make it look even worse. GA and BAMA are the top teams in my opinion based on NFL talent and wins over the last four years, but I don't think both get in because leaving out a p5 ACC champion will essentially blow up the conference . What would the point of staying if going undefeated in the ACC and not getting a CFB playoff invite be?

That's the tough part. It's almost like Florida State is in based on a technicality. Yeah, you're undefeated...yeah you're the conference champion...yeah, the precedent thus far has been P(x) champion preferential treatment, but there's that hygiene issue. Sans QB you're a tad malodorous. How do you quantify the top four teams when there are around six teams that could make a subjective argument for inclusion?

Correct.

If anything, FSU has shown it’s more than worthy. Great/deserving teams fight through unexpected adversity, don’t use it as an excuse, and continue to win.

The kid that played QB for FSU last night isn’t playing in the playoff games. Rodemaker would be back, right? And he’s much more competent than the true freshman, so how do you penalize them because they have to play a backup QB? He’s on scholarship, too.

THIS! Just another reason that the NCAA basketball tournament is the absolute best and this “system” is a laugh.
