USF MBB hasn’t always dined on “cupcakes” in recent years. To wit:

2022: SE Missouri State (lost 61-64); Stetson (lost 67-68) Austin Peay (lost 60-620

2021: Georgia Southern (lost 41-53) NC A&T won 56-54

2020: Rhode Island (lost 68-84)

2019: IUPUI (lost 53-70)

Big turnarounds can occur in MBB in one year with the right staff. Early returns are positive.

I watched and enjoyed it, we are athletic, can shoot, and can break the press.  It was a ****** HBCU but like all of you I take nothing for granted. I am not as positive as Pancho Villa but it was a nice start.

Football, yes. MBB, we won 14 games last year. One game doesn’t mean a whole lot in the overall scheme of things but an eked out win over SCS would not have carried the same weight as what actually happened.
