Good on CJL. Miss that guy!

That would be the smart thing to do. Yet, we have some folks clamoring for the freshman to play (and burn a RS) in a year we expected to not compete.

Not remotely similar

they play the big boys

we are at the kids table

it doesnt make sense to keep attacking orlando

I should just leave this alone, but truth is that I am enjoying their struggle thus far in the B12.  Can't change that we're left behind in the AAC.  Somehow it would be much worse for me to stomach if they moved up and were having success right away.

How do they improve our conference?

By keeping the level of AAC football competitive. Have they been world-beaters? Nope. But they are 5-1 in bowl games. They beat a few p5 schools (Wake & Missouri). Everything starts and ends with how competitive the teams in your conference are.

How do they make our conference more competitive?   They lost to UMass today.  You're adding another mediocre team to an already mediocre conference.  Now if your answer is you want the Armed Forces academies in the AMERICAN Athletic Conference, then ok.  But they're not elevating the competitiveness of the conference

Army lost to UMass today.  Why are we supposed to be excited about them joining the aac?

It's not because of football. We should have all the academies in the 'Murican. There's really no one out there we should be that excited about football wise to begin with ...

They also beat UTSA  one of the top teams in the AAC and the team what everybody including yourself has listed as a loss.

I haven't "listed" anything.  And big deal they beat UTSA without their all world QB.   They lost to UMass and don't move the needle from a competition stand point at all

Plus Army bring in more fans than SMU does. SMU fan support just flat out sucks. Sure they have donors but if is embarrassing to watch their home games with little fan support

I think you just described the American conference... empty stadiums and little fan support.
