By keeping the level of AAC football competitive. Have they been world-beaters? Nope. But they are 5-1 in bowl games. They beat a few p5 schools (Wake & Missouri). How do they make our conference more competitive? They lost to UMass today. You're adding another mediocre team to an already mediocre conference. Now if your answer is you want the Armed Forces academies in the AMERICAN Athletic Conference, then ok.
