I know the last two weeks sucked. Too much hype, talking about running the table.

Our path to 6 wins continues with a win over UConn this weekend.

We aren't a good team yet, but we aren't a horrible team any more either.

Good recruiting, things are looking up overall. Anyone who lived through the last 3 years would be wise to stick this out, as I think we can see the light on the other end of the tunnel that we have been in for too long already.

the last 2 weeks we were horrible

Agreed.

As I sat there last week against FAU I wondered if they figured out our signals, or tuned into our headsets. That second half was as ugly as it gets.

This is timely. I have sat through USF games where I wondered if the other team knew our signals. We all heard what happened to Michigan today.

FAU was one of those games.  (Arkansas was another)

I can also tell part of a story that in one of our upset wins, we knew if the other team was running or passing every down, because one of the offensive lineman had a tell, and our coaches found it on film before the game. (this was over 10 years ago, and not cheating)

What happened to Michigan?  I've been out of the loop since the UAB Disaster of 2023.

Investigation that they were sending people to their future opponents to learn the signs for the plays.

Hmm. Maybe we should take notes.

Good point if we caught we will forfeit wins or bowl eligibility.  So is that even a punishment based on the results of usf football over the last five years ?

Our DC was there last year so they had a good idea of what to expect. Remember one play where we blitzed on first down and they threw a screen right over the Blitzer for a big gain. Had to know his tendencies.

So they are being accused of "stealing" signs because they went to scout future opponents and figured out their signs?   I hear about the alleged "sign stealing" but did not know the details.   That doesn't sound like "sign stealing" to me.  It sounds like scouting

If you don't record them digitally it isn't cheating. Any smart coach send scouts to find holes in their schemes and try to figure out signals.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
