Spending the night in Tuscaloosa on Friday (got post grad degree there...), Rama Jama's for breakfast Saturday AM. Then off to Birmingham to tailgate. Think I'll be bringing a little setup from home on the drive up.

Hoover Saturday night and then back off to Tampa. 6/6 this year after this weekend. Hoping to find a cheap plane ticket to UCONN so I can go 8/8

Don't sleep on Avelo airlines, if they service your market to New Haven, not a bad drive from there. (I'm doing Avelo up from MCO, then Frontier back to MCO)

Ohh interesting. Don't know anything about that airline but I'm going to look into it. Will let you know if I have any questions 👍

They are based in New Haven, so if they come to your airport, they fly to New Haven. Got to travel light to avoid the baggage fees. Great fares.

I would never book them 7 months in advance out of fear they would go out of business, but 2 weeks is a risk worth taking in my opinion.

If you end up using them, Louis Lunch invented the hamburger and some of the best pizza in the US in in New Haven (and Yale).

New Haven is a great idea.

You can do Avelo both ways. I have a Frontier pass, and couldn't make the Northbound times work on Frontier, so I booked Avelo.

As another aside, actually aside from this game, for the Memphis game I’ll start in Nashville again and the Ice Bulls are in town that week!  So if that fits any other plans, that would be nice.

Hit Dreamland for one of the bowl games. It was okay but not not the best BBQ in the world.

For anyone that can get a reservation, we stumbled upon, I believe, GianMarcos for Italian in Bham. Great meal. They have a wine store in back of the restaurant with some tables if you can't get resv. First come. You order food off the regular menu but pick out your own bottle of wine and pay the retail price. One reason I'd like to go back to that city.
