I think it's probably more of a poke at our name being "South" Florida while USF is located in the Central part on the Western Coast of the state. We are Central Florida West to him.

Could be. But I honestly think Saban doesn't give that much thought to these kinds of things. He knows USF is in Tampa, in what most people think of as central Florida on a map. And that's probably why he said central Florida. We're such a non-threat to Alabama at this point that I don't think he's even going to bother to try insulting us.
