And that is fine for the beginning parts of a journey but not as fine if at midlife you find yourself continually regressing. Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Elon Musk's first rivals were kids that picked their noses, called them poopy head and ended up in middle management that does not mean they would or should be fine Billy Madisoning their way back to kindergarten just because that's where they started.

Think you missed the point. I don’t believe anyone was trying to force a rivalry with those schools. I did not think those schools were going to be rivals when USF started football. It just kind of happened naturally. USF already has some history with FAU. They almost gave USF their first loss during that run to #2 in the BCS standings. They went to the final four last season. USF has plenty to be envious of FAU right now

I think everyone on here always misses the point on rivals, rivalries should come over time (more time than we have ever spent with another team regularly). That we are playing FAU is as every bit of a problem as us regressing back to play UCF, if we play them long enough so as to become rivals I am sure we will enjoy hosting their going away party as well (luckily hosting parties is perfectly aligned with VPMK's CV). We should get out of AAC by any means necessary but since we lack the fortitude for that: we need to ignore every other member except when we are unfortunately forced to see them on the schedule. These are 3 am hookups because you need to kill your time someway, you don't put their pictures up, you don't go to dinner with them and you certainly do not marry them.
