We'll have both those, invite or no invite .....

Pretty much what I said. We still have AAU and debt if no invite comes.

Then it doesn’t. We’re a better university and meeting our mission for our students who are investing in their educations - and futures.

It is a great thing but it changes nothing for athletics. There are plenty of aau program that are not in power5 conferences or lose in power 5 conferences. I'd prefer to build a powerhouse football and athletic program any day of the week. People goes crazy  in the streets and have parades for championship. I think we got a post on social media for aau status. This was Judy's goal and it hurt athletics.  Now  it is time  to go all in athletics  spend every  extra  dollar and put bare minimum in academics to maintain aau  status.

To play Devil's advocate, the success in the late 90s/early 2000s and the Brady era do a lot of heavy lifting for a franchise that's spent 21 of 48 seasons finishing last, another 7 finishing 2nd to last. Historically speaking they're twice as likely to finish last or second to last (28 times) as they are to finish with a winning record (14). I don't think simply having two Super Bowls would put them, as a franchise, above some like, say, the Minnesota Vikings, who have a storied history but just haven't been able to close the deal for the Lombardi.

Right, and they are one of the least likely teams to make playoffs and thus win a Super Bowl.

I'm a Bucs fan, but they have stunk up the place forever.

With that said, there are certainly worse franchises that have been around longer and accomplished less (IMO).

It must have just been an oversight on your part but you missed his last sentence, so I added it up there .....
