This^.  Pushing dirt into a circle has to be the same cost as digging a hole.  I like the look of walking up an incline on the outside and then entering the venue between the first and second levels.  This would be just like the ramp/incline entering the YC but probably twice as high.  This is the OPPOSITE of Oviedo stadium and arena where you walk up ramps and stairs after you've entered the venue.

The problem with "pushing dirt into a circle" is the length you need to make sure it's not too steep... there probably won't be enough area on all sides of the stadium to do it... the north side could have it, depending on the impact on the tennis complex, the south side will have the football/lacrosse facility... the east and west sides might have room for a 20-30 foot hill and the 200-300 feet needed to allow for accessible pathways -- but that would mean the field would run east-west... not sure there would be a berm along one of the sidelines (stadiums with berms have them one one end zone).

I would not get my hopes up about having a big berm... I suspect it's more likely to be like nearly every other stadium - ramps and escalators up to the top of level one, then walk down to seats.... dictated by the topography of that part of campus.

I think Raymond James Stadium is only something like 11 meters.

It's a wee bit higher ... which is why the field at RayJay is basically at ground level.

I would like to see a general admission overflow berm in one of the endzones for students if the student seating sells out or lotteries out or however it will work.

Assuming we are leaving an end open for expansion but who knows...

Just do what UL did when they first opened PapaJohns Stadium. Have a big statue of LRS behind one of the endzones

This setup at Navy has always caught my attention.  Grass below, seats behind.

IIRC, that was all grass without the seats first time we made the trip. I very well could be wrong.

I remember the seats were there the first trip but they were metal bleachers.  Looks like they replaced them with plastic seats.  It is a good look for a grass endzone.

Lots of rumors that renderings will be released homecoming

Bunch of bs or do we think it has legs?

I personally think it's a bunch of spaghetti being thrown at the wall

Edit: it is indeed spaghetti. People just riffing.

However, it would not be a bad week to do it. Would boost attendance for the game. Show only on the jumbotron

Wonder if the conference realignment chatter has slowed this down?  35K too small if we conference jump?

If it were me, I would have a phase II design in the chamber and then you are all set.  We could have it contingent upon increased revenue to pay for the additional construction.

I'm fairly confident that we will have the ability to expand from 35,000, if necessary.
