I hear ya, but it does go to the point of whether or not you retain BG. If we do make a run here, it’ll be because Tyler continues going off - then he literally goes off to something else. Do we then get fooled into thinking we have something going? Of course, the 3 schools that will be leaving are a combined 43-12 right now, so that may help our cause.

Actually the new teams coming in next year are doing really well.

FAU 16-1

North Texas 14-4

UAB 13-5

Rice 12-5

Charlotte 12-5

When you see these teams having success you wonder why we aren't able to right now.

Agreed, but I did go take a look at all those wins by those schools and it’s hardly a murderer’s row. We should fit in pretty well. It’s a one-bid league.

I agree. There will be no excuses If we can't compete in the new AAC in both basketball and football.

You mean we'll be able to get an NCAA Tourney bid with the same regularity to which we have become accustomed?

Yeah, I get it and it will be an interesting decision for MK unless we totally **** the bed going forward. Obviously CBG is in a no-win situation with a portion of the fanbase and nothing that happens, possibly short of a miraculous run, will be enough to retain him. I'm just hoping we finish strong enough to make it a tough decision for Kelly.

Great point. UNCC & UAB have good basketball histories. FAU is a surprise

Yes, the AAC should be a decent conference next year.

I don't think it should be that tough.  He's had a enough time.  Either win or we cut bait and move on

Nobody’s questioning that.  The question is what’s the cut line going to be for wins for MK.
