Maybe fans expecting a loss will pay off.  Last year we were going to beat BYU at home 9 months before the season started, and we all know how that worked out.

True.  It's amazing what 3 consecutive years of either getting blown out or playing hard and figuring out a way to lose can do to a fan base.  Before 2020, nobody would have conceded a game to the likes of WKU.  I can't think of any one USF fan who thought we'd lose to them in the Miami Beach Bowl (2015 I think).  Yes, they did beat us, but we certainly didn't go into the game thinking we'd get beat.  Things have really changed around here.  Only winning games (FBS games) will repair things.  I think we will see undisputed improvement in the 2023 season.

Yeah they had a NFL draft QB. They were good. We win if the phantom TD was reversed.
