Are we expecting our donor base to compete with the P5 power houses?  Even without a stadium?

The stadium doesn't necessarily increase donors or local interest but winning does. Ray Jay used to be rocking and we had a lot of donors leave when Leavitt was fired. We need to find a winning coach more than anything else. OCs is a nice but doesn't solve the problem the current state of the football team is in. I think the OCS will help in the long run, but winning is more important . We were beating WVU, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Clemson, FSU and Miami without an OCS.

We need to find two rbs, two starting receivers, at least one quality offensive linemen, at least one or two quality DT, and maybe a LB/DE or two.

Well our NIL needs to be put to use and poach best available players from other G5 teams or FCS teams.

I absolutely hate whah has become of college football.

Sadly, many G5 programs will be the AAA farm teams for P5. G5 may get some of the players that wash out OR don't see the field at P5, but the net effect will be widening the gap between P5 & G5.  And we killed ourselves by not ramping up when we were peaking and now it may be impossible to recover.  Sucks.

We're not outspending the upper half of the p5 if any p5.   That's not how this is going to work.

We don't have to win the SEC, we just need to win the watered down AAC.   IPF Built.  Build your OCS.  Build your tradition.  Build your culture

I think it really is that simple but people don't want to hear it because it ain't going to happen overnight ...

Those things will help but if are still winning one fbs game every 3 seasons and losing out best players to the portal then it will be a ghost town at the stadium.

I agree. While the new landscape with the NIL and the transfer portal will benefit the top programs in the nation; every other program and pretty much every team in the AAC will be in the same boat. In the short run we need to be competitive against Tulane, Memphis, FAU,...., not Alabama or Ohio State. There is no reason we can't be competitive in the AAC. What is worrying  is that the rest of the AAC is not losing their best players to the transfer portal at the rate we are. Golesh will need to figure out how to built a team; or this year could be disastrous.

If we beat Bama which isn't happening  Ray Jay would be rocking again. If we won our conference and hosted a title game Ray Jay would be rocking. We need to win and bring life back to the program.
