Is his age a concern? Isn't he like 61?

He is 61. But I think he’d be an excellent fit at USF. Guy’s been very successful (108-34 overall, 41-8 at JMU) and has ‘Bama ties.

61 looks younger to me every day.  I'd even take a 71 year-old like Nick Saban if he volunteered to help.

Hell no lol. 61 is young. Besides USF needs a coach to turn it around in a few seasons anyway

James Madison has a number 9 defense and 28 offense.

He isn't a spring chicken but I'd definitely take him...he be a huge upgrade.

This! USF just needs a coach that can get us on good footing. He can always retire at 65 after he has us back winning

Not to mention he may want to simply retire at USF and not get poached away.

He got JMU to Div 1 and dominated the Sun Belt. He might as well finish his career at USF.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
