Tom Allen, former USF DC, has been mentioned as a possible candidate for USF if he is let go by the Hoosiers.  Interesting to see how NIL is dramatically affecting IU football.

“Recruits, come play for this man.  Best coach in America.” That was Indiana offensive lineman Dylan Powell, who interrupted Tom Allen’s post-game interview on ABC after...

He calls out what everyone should know.  If you can't pay players you lose.  CFB reorganizing in order of wealth.  It's a good article.

Its trending towards just being a straight up minor league that happens to be sponsored by Universities.

We're closer to players not being students and just employees of the university than players being actual regular students that attend their universities like most of their peers.

in this case, the wealth of the fanbase, rather than the wealth of the school.  I wonder if this means the big TV contracts will have less weight.

So should we try to continue to spend on things that everyone continues to point out are of zero value in today’s world or should we be grateful for a reduced budget and the ability to pivot any and all funds into the one thing that continually is pointed out as the only difference maker between success and failure? Cheap coaches + cheap rent in a stadium better than we can build = more money to throw at NIL and it would be even better if we could sell the IPF for scrap and get back all the money wasted on paying people to fail at coaching as well as the money wasted on paying them to stop failing at coaching.

No because things still have overhead that needs to be paid but a smarter programs will ask the fans for less, pay with the money they generate outside of their fanbase and increase their fanbase’s wealth for expendable entertainment as consequence which can be diverted to their local collective.
