Its trending towards just being a straight up minor league that happens to be sponsored by Universities. We're closer to players not being students and just employees of the university than players being actual regular students that attend their universities like most of their peers. Cheap coaches + cheap rent in a stadium better than we can build = more money to throw at NIL and it would be even better if we could sell the IPF for scrap and get back all the money wasted on paying people to fail at coaching as well as the money wasted on paying them to stop failing at coaching. No because things still have overhead that needs to be paid but a smarter programs will ask the fans for less, pay with the money they generate outside of their fanbase and increase their fanbase’s wealth for expendable entertainment as consequence which can be diverted to their local collective.
