Alabama is one of the most penalized teams in CFB.

VPMK is a nice guy who wants to do right on paper. CJS reflects this. The players do too... USF has been fantastic penalty wise this year.

But does anyone want to go out and kick some ass? Saban called last year - with a PLAYOFF appearance- a rebuilding year.

I don't see any kind of aggressive, winning mentality in Athletics. Its just not in our culture. We'd rather win on paper than on the field.

Perhaps, but I think they want to win on both.  I don't think they want to win only and do it "at all costs".  Either do I.

Many of the best coaches in the business are not nice guys.... Name the top 5 coaches of the last decade and how many of them are "nice guys". Maybe one Dabo? Jimbo, Saban, Urban, Riley and Day are not nice guys. Being nice doesn't mean you can win and it doesn't mean you will necessarily loose either. Most great coaches are fierce competitors and are intense. I just don't see that from CJs. He stands around and walks around with his hands on his hips a lot. I don't see him get in many players face and rip them a new one when they make a huge mistake.

Again, Let's see how it plays out but I would absolutely fire everyone if we lose to Temple. It can't get any further to the bottom.

So if we beat temple" no progress was made or If we lose we regressed for  a 22 year old qb instead of a potential 4 year starter. We beat temple last year with an 18 year old true freshmen. The only real progress would be to win 5 games which is what Jeff Scott compared himself to Mark Stoops in year 3 at 5-7. Anything short of 5-7 is a failure by Scott's on bar on a successful year 3 during a rebuild.

Temple last year doesn't matter at all in determining progress for USF.

Jeff Scott said 5-7 year 3 of Mark Stoops was given an additional year and compared himself to him. IF he cannot mean the bar he  should  be gone. I also find it odd he compared himself to such a successful coach when he has shown nothing even near that level of success.

And, as usual, that has nothing to do with what I said.

I compare myself to Ghandi.  I have failed.  The board closes in 5 minutes.

True story but are you getting paid millions of dollars  per year to be Ghandi ? Also if he thinks he is anything near the caliber of coach that Stoops I am honestly at a loss of words to describe the guy. Stoops won 5 games in year 2 and won 5 more games in year 3. Jeff Scott hasn't put together 5 wins in 2.75 seasons. IT was a really bad and dumb comparison for a coach struggling so bad for a win and something to use to give him more time.  Stoops had some top 25 wins, fbs wins, and SEC wins in year 3.

Hearing you say he made that comparison is the first I heard of it.  So for ***** and giggles, he made this comment last week?  Or when?  I know you're a stickler for these things, even while asking for a break on your toilet typing.  But if we can forgive you we can certianly demonize Scott.
