the ideal is obviously to have backups at every position who COULD be starters & were competitive with the eventual starters in camp. guys who push the starters.

If they stay.  With the portal and all the changes, good backups may look to start somewhere else.

This is going to be a perennial problem in the new world order of college sports, especially at our current level ...

That door works both ways, too.  Good backups at P5 schools may look to start at USF ... which is what happened this past off season.

It will definitely work both ways but it's going to affect depth at our level more than anything .....

Maybe...

There are still only 85 scholarships available and the limit of 25 that can be provided in a given season applies to transfers and incoming freshmen.

What is happening with all these transfer receivers and receivers (Ajou, Yusef, Sincere Brown) we have been recruiting? We need some guys to catch some balls!

when ppl say depth they dont just mean having players to fill a position, they mean players without a significant drop-off in talent from the starters to the bench/backups.

Many of these players are transfers or players CJS recruited. He need 2 give more players chances. Especially all of those 6'4 - 6'6 pass catchers on this team. Mychael Hamilton is a good back. How about K'wan Powel? We are forcing to ball to Weaver too much. Its getting predictable.

The only thing we needed was the refs. Who forgot to pay them?
