Absolute best draft possible for USF. By the numbers, all four of them should have been drafted by now.

Rujano (234) and Snow (178) were listed as top 250 prospects by MLB. Showalter is Perfect Game's #81 HS prospect and Brutti is #108.

Snow is the main prize of this class for us. This is from MLB.com's scouting report on him.

If he winds up attending South Florida, he could become the Bulls' best position prospect since 2017 supplemental first-rounder Kevin Merrell.

I don't understand any of these eligibility years anymore, but the MLB Draft Tracker has him as:

I hope he does come back and can get/stay healthy,

I think everyone gets credit for a RS with 2020 shutting down the season. So, they've got him down as a 4 year school junior, but he technically has two more seasons of eligibility despite being his third year playing.

2020 - cancelled, automatic RS year for everyone

2021 - RS Freshman year

2022 - RS Sophomore year

The Baltimore Orioles today drafted one of our top recruits, RHP Zachary Showalter, with the 1st pick of the 11th Round.

As this was the first pick of today's session, I am pretty sure the Orioles know how much to pay over slot to sign Zach.

Geez, and RHP Ben Brutti was drafted 16 picks later by CIncinnati.

From the 11th Round on, the base bonus is $125K. Any bonus over that amount goes towards a teams Draft Bonus Allotment.

Yep. Brutti just went to the Reds. Probably the same scenario. Count your cash after days 1 and 2 and see what remaining HS guys are out there you can overpay for after lowballing some college senior a few rounds earlier.

It kind of sucks, but I like it better keeping the professional side with MLB.  I wish it were the same with the NFL.

Who knows... Jasiak isn't on any board and goes in the 12th and two guys that are MLB top 250 prospects are still hanging around.
