USF Baseball and the Draft

As of right now, I have not seen anything on Zak Showalter and Jasiak signing yet. So far Kerk, Lord, Carmine, and Brutti have signed.

Looks like Luis Rujano is signing with the Cubs, also, so there's another freshman pitcher off the board.

Showalter signs with the Orioles, so I think that’s all the drafted high school signees off to the minors instead of college.

The lineup will be OK, but Mohl's going to have to pull a rabbit out of his hat with that pitching staff. Those young guys from last season - Grause, Dietz, Cebert, Volini - will need to make HUGE leaps forward as sophomores. Right now, the only workable arms on the roster are the Minks, Hudi and Brown - and none of them are a No. 1 or a No. 2. We could use a transfer or a late JUCO add, or both.

Would be great if we can get Tyler's brother to campus, but Hunter is looking like a top HS prospect. Unfortunately I wouldn't be surprised if he's drafted with in the first 5 rounds.
