In Willie Taggart’s final season with USF, the Bulls built upon a promising 2015 season with an even better 2016 season that was capped off with a Birmingham Bowl victory over South Carolina.

Led by dual-threat quarterback Quinton Flowers, USF finished with an 11-2 record, including a win against No. 22 Navy. That season also featured a victory over rival UCF and three weeks ranked in the AP Top 25 poll, reaching as high as No. 19.

This part of the season is so much fun with so many opinions and articles floating around.  On the heels of the Taggart/Irinde/Oregon trial, an article was published that names Taggart the worst or one of the worst coaches ever at Oregon - and that's quite a long history there.... I didn't post it because I didn't want to fire up @Triple B so early into the summer months.

Not everyone gets to claim to be the worst coach in the history of two storied programs as well as getting to be the fourth best coach (as determined by empirical data as opposed to feels) at a program that that has had 6 coaches and the ones he beat out are .432 and .143. That's quite an accomplishment! The funny part about being rated the worst in Oregon history is that the 7-5 record is tied for his third best in his storied 13 year career sub .500 record. One of these things is not like the other but I am sure that aberration would be the course he stayed on had he just stayed here.

Meh, I'm sure that article had nothing to do with the extreme butt hurt that they had ..... although, one of the more understandable butt hurt situations from their perspective though, imo.

I agree he was a terrible coaching HIRE for Oregon considering what happened .... but as far as being the worst coach there, when they went from 4-8 to 7-5 in his one year there, that's ridiculous.
