If you just want to argue, that's fine. I guess it's a catch 22 situation. One doesn't happen without the other. For me, MY OPINION, is that IF I had the opportunity to give back to what helped make me successful, I would. In fact, my wife and I have endowed a small scholarship to help transfer athletes finish their degrees simply because we saw a need, not because USF did anything for us but give her a degree. I agree these guys probably won’t give a red cent and most players feel like they are owed something from the University and not the other way around anyways, it is a matter of perspective. People are simply raised differently and have different perspectives, some feel fortunate to have received an opportunity while others feel they were victimized and are always owed something.
