Is this the trust the science I saw repeated 24/7 on the news cycle?

It’s a perpetual 2 weeks to flatten the losing curve

Out of curiosity, is there any record in which you believe he should be terminated? If he goes say 3-9. Would you give him another year?

Based on how VPMK has handled MBB, my guess is that CJS could go 0-12 and still return for 2023

Personally, I agree with the majority of the board - 6-6 is the bare minimum for 2022 and failing that, USF should look for someone else

Yup.  The fact that we would once again be paying a coach to not coach for us gives me cramps.  It's not a matter of anyone's standards (We've been DEMANDING EXCELLENCE for as long as I've been posting on this board).  It's a matter of economics, weird times with Covid, NILs, portal...I don't see us paying a coach to not coach.  Not again.

Oh geez. Is it worse to pay someone not to coach or worse to pay him to keep losing?

For the record, I do think he will go at least .500 this year, but if he doesn't, I don't know how we don't consider bringing in someone else. There surely IS a coach out there who can beat Tulsa with Florida talent, right?

I would hope so. Sterling Gilbert ran the most boring and simplest  offense and figured out how to score in the aac.

Dad's answer pretty much echos my thoughts. To me, coaches get at least three years under normal circumstances. I don't really give a crap what others say about the circumstances of the previous two years, or what other programs did then, but they were not normal, IMO, so he gets at least four. Starting over again will suck and we need to be **** sure that CJS is not the coach we need.

We got 5 more years to figure that out don't worry. We will know by then.

Our defense was complete trash last season...the backup DC alone looked better just being more aggressive vs UCF.  So my hope is added talent and a better DC should see a pretty good improvement in our defense that alone should get us in the 4 or 5 win range...offense returns mostly everyone and added some talent so I do see that improving some as well.

Less than 6 wins would be very disappointing this season.

Oops meant to post on the CFN post. But here is fine also I guess.

I think I can move it if you'd like ...

I’m working off my phone now so I’ll see if I can figure out how to do it here.
