Agreed, but the stakes are so much higher now for CJS, it would not be a great situation if a Timmy should go down for a reasonable amount of time. Of course some players also transfer after spring when they see where they are on the depth chart.

But without game experience he will be at a serious disadvantage…it’s not like this is a new 5 star QB coming in. The safe play is to get an experienced backup.
