12-14 timeslots per network family over Friday nights/Saturdays in-conference games

That's ambitious.  Time slots are three hours... so there would be at most eight per week per network for OTA broadcast (cable and broadcast):

  • Thursday night (7:00pm and 10:00pm)
  • Friday night (7:00pm and 10:00pm)
  • Saturday (12:00 Noon, 3:00pm, 7:00pm, and 10:00pm)

But there aren't THAT many West Coast teams to have three "after dark" games across all of the networks... when you factor the limitations on some networks that have other prime time programming and other sports (such as auto-racing, golf, baseball, college basketball, NBA, NHL, etc) during some of these time slots.

Still, for Fox and ESPN ... having 4 to 8 slots per week is probably enough.  48 teams (2 x 24 conferences) would be 24 games in season... but if all 48 play non P2 out of conference, that would be 48 non-conference games to televise.

Make one different, outlandish prediction every day and you'll be right eventually! Then take credit due to your "sources". Easy win.

So he can transfer out to Iowa  to get more nil money than he was offered at bama at the end of the season. Now he transfers back to Bama with a bigger nil offer. So does he get to keep the nil money he has collected from Iowa or does he have to pay it back . The transfer portal and nil  madness without any clear rules and enforcement is pure madness .

There's usually terms to the NIL money so he probably got to keep very little to none of the Iowa money.

Two transfers in less than a full semester is insane.

Or the guys who every year predict an "active" hurricane season. This guy is Tuxedo Yoda with a beard.

247SPORTS.COM

The next phase of college football realignment could be imminent.

Projection: Big 12

Expert's take from Inside The U's David Lake: "This is difficult to predict from a Miami standpoint. This is a big game of musical chairs and the question for Miami is how many spots in the 'Big Two' remain. Amongst ACC programs, Florida State and Clemson are the two biggest brands and they are being the most aggressive. They will likely eat first. Where does Miami stand in the pecking order amongst the remaining schools? Miami is banking on a winning 2024 season translating to making themselves more desirable to the 'Big Two' conferences. Miami certainly hasn’t been aggressive enough at this point to make any definitive prediction.

"Miami's leadership needs a kick in the pants, frankly, and unless they change their approach I could foresee the Big 12 being a landing spot. Hopefully athletic director Dan Radakovich and the Miami leadership start being proactive and make sure they have a seat at the table in the game of musical chairs for the migration to the 'Big Two' sooner rather than later."
