Top 10 - plus one - Group of Five conference schools that make sense for expansion.

This is easily the best article I've ever read on conference realignment.

Someone who wants to give 250 to the stadium next year will neither be in the Bulls Club, not GBS. Will that help or hinder donations? I get conceptually the desire to drive money into the Annual Fund, I just think with a stadium fund coming, we might see lower participation in general giving, less Bulls Club members... but I'm not an insider so I don't know for sure.

Don't have a good answer for you. I'm not real sure how all this is going to shake out. I'm still trying to figure out if the premium for our insurance policy will count toward our Iron Bull status any longer.

But they didn't mention our upgraded facilities or plans for a stadium.

Are you saying that the 2018 low number doesn't include all monies from donors? I'm still confused about this  whole "general fund". Does all the money donated not show up under "Donations/Contributions" in those reports?

I believe, and know that I am not sure, that money we designated to a particular sport did not go into the general fund. We designated dollars to WBB, MSoccer, MGolf and baseball this year.  Looks like we won't have that option in upcoming years so that we just put the total into the general fund. Guessing this will all be explained as we go forward.

We were #1 without consideration of IPF or OCS.  So….back to RJS.  We don’t need OCS.  :slapmax:

I think I found the answer, to my question anyway. From that site, the Donor Contributions number represents:

Funds contributed from individuals, corporations, associations, foundations, clubs or other organizations external to the athletics program above the face value for tickets.

Which, if I understand it correctly, means those numbers weren't low because of some accounting thing but because of our pathetic Donor participation and MK's done a yeoman's job of improving those numbers.

For those watching the Big Ten . . . this is what we should all be thinking at this point.
