We need fans that will demand a homer from the local media outlets. The local media covers us when things get good because that's when the rest of Tampa wakes up and realizes that USF is pretty fun to watch and support.

This.  Even our Bucs press corps isn't homer-ish. We're likely the only NFL city in the country without "woohoo our team is the best" NFL coverage.

Jake Trotter, ESPN Big 12 writer kept mentioning USF during his expansion segment during college football live. Focus was on Houston but he mentioned USF and UCF a lot. Other teams mentioned were UC, BYU, and UConn. No other schools mentioned.

Interesting!  Maybe we're more serious candidates than previously thought.  At least that's what I like to believe.
