I say let Fox and ESPN pay Texas to move to the PAC and see how things shake out. I'm betting we catch a ray of sunshine in the fallout.

 

If Fox and ESPN were smart, they'd rebuild the Big 12 with USF, UCF and Houston as it's anchors.

I don't know if that's true.  IMO, the reason they've stayed in the B12 is because they control everything.  They would have a better chance of being in a similar power vein in the PAC than they would in the B10.

They would also rather be National Champs but, that won't make it happen.

Reality is the B1G won't put up with their stick. The PAC is getting desperate and may be inclined to do so. The PAC's only viable markets for expansion are in Texas.

Florida doesn't need more lawyers, and USF doesn't need more lawyers in state legislature...USF maybe needs better

lobbyists working for it and telling legislators what to do.

I think quality on the field is usually over-rated compared to money, markets and recruiting but this presents some good arguments that the current candidates won't water the Big 12 down. Reminds me of when the coach for Southern Miss said we watered down C-USA and then we went out and beat them here in 2002. Still remember that game.
