Tv market? Sure. Academically? Sure. Athletically? No. Ucf has more championships, draft picks, and history. Hate to say it, but need to be humble and realize the facts. We can beat them head to head all year long but if we cant beat memphis, smu, houston etc it wont make a difference. Believe it or not, ucf is not our worst enemy this year. We are The longer this expansion is delayed, the better.

We've got a 50% chance that they mix up USF and UCF again and send the invite to the wrong school

Big 12 is finding that out with WVU, and UCF with the MAC conference. Big 12 should go to 14. Edited June 18, 2014 by BurghBull

Breedwell Posted June 18, 2014 Group: Member Topic Count: 8 Content Count: 863 Reputation: 96 Days Won: 1 Joined: 11/20/2012 Share Posted June 18, 2014 Man, that was fun to read. Seriously though, they don't have a QB, probably don't really have any depth at RB anymore, and they're still the knights. There's lots of room for error there, especially without golden boy at the helm. It's cute that you're still entitled after what has happened to both programs the last 4 years, #trophies. The last 3 starting running backs at UCF have been drafted in the NFL. That is one position that has been constant under GOL. Stanback is a stud. There is a lot of talent at QB also, just inexperience. My prediction that Tyler Harris ends up the starting most games once he catches up to the college speed. Not to mention a very talented WR core returns. Steele and others do their homework. Its cute that knight fans are suddenly entitled because they had one good season behind Bortles (who, admittedly, was the sole reason UCF beat Temple, Louisville, Baylor, and a few others) and Stormy Johnson. And both of those guys left for the NFL. Now what? Now you have zero experience at QB, and, though your true freshman running back had a solid season as the #2, is expected to carry your RBs. Who's gonna back him up? Reed? Thompson? Your oldest RB (Thompson) only had positive carries against Akron last season, and that's hardly meaningful carries. And for Tyler Harris to "catch up to speed" and take over the position, you imply there that whomever gets the starting role (Patti or DiNovo perhaps) isn't going to do well enough to keep it. And hell, how well do you expect a 5'10 QB to do, anyways? He's going to play a fair bit different than a guy who has 7 inches on him in height and a good what, 40-50 pounds? No matter how 'talented' your WRs are, if your QB can't handle the pocket, he wont be able to utilize them properly. And that's gonna put strain on all of those new faces on the offense. There is absolutely no indication that the knights are going to get close to a repeat of last season. And if you think Penn State has forgotten that loss last season, you're kidding me.
