The brutal schedule excuse has run its course. The schedule gets much lighter starting Saturday. No more excuses for Coach Scott and company. Get the Win!!!

That's pretty much what CJS said this week. We are not good enough to beat a top 25 team unless we play a near perfect game. Obviously we have not.  Starting this week we should be more evenly matched every week, but one.

Schedules are done years in advance.  People complain that we get no good teams coming into RayJay and then when we get good teams people complain.  Pretty difficult running a college athletic department.

This is true, but scheduling Alabama, Louisville and NC St. in the same year makes no sense for us to do at any point.

Probably when we scheduled NC State they weren't a nationally ranked team but just guessing on that.

Makes sense if you want to improve your conference.

That hasn't helped us one bit.  UCF has always scheduled much easier OOC than us.  Win more conference games and people will notice just as much.

Well, I didn't say no P4/P5. And I get that some of these games are scheduled out 10 years, like ND in 2031. But, we gotta start winning consistently and that won't be helped by playing Alabama. And, yes, I'm definitely for playing Alabama. Just maybe not so many Alabamas.

If we go 0-4, people say we suck. If we go 4-0 against FCS/Sun Belt/CUSA teams, people say our SoS sucks and therefore we also suck. I guess ultimately you can't win. But, 4-0 looks and feels better on paper and it's easier to cheer for 4-0 and maybe build some momentum.

I like scheduling the P5 Teams! You never know how good they will be when you schedule t6hese games years in advance. Next year isn't scary . . . Florida will most likely be Top 25 and doubt L'ville will be. Not sure about BYU in Tamplona and we'll have an easy time with Howard.

And I don't think anyone is using this schedule as an excuse ... it's a tough schedule and we are not good enough to beat them . . . simple facts.

Go BULLS !!!

I like scheduling them as well but in moderation. Two every other year (followed by one) is the way to go…just in case we are having to rebuild or looking for a QB.

TWO DECADES OF PULLING RANK

The Bulls will face several ranked teams in 2021. Since becoming a full FBS program in 2001, USF has registered 11 victories against opponents ranked in the Associated Press top 25 (including three wins against the top 10, four road victories and triumphs against opponents from the ACC, Big 12 and SEC). In that 20-season span, only two other American Athletic Conference programs have more victories against ranked opponents than USF.

AAC Team Top 25 Wins* Top 10 Wins* *Since 2001

Cincinnati 17 2

Houston 12 4

USF 11 3

UCF 7 3

In terms of your later paragraph I think people may say that but the majority of USF fans would still be happy.

Data is skewed since we were actually in a BCS conference. Further, going forward in the AAC now, it is unlikely we are going to be getting the recruits we had in the old BE days.
