These FCS teams think they’re so cool with their real playoff. Look at that game day atmosphere. Who would want that? And their game is on basic tv. Since you don’t have to pay to watch it you know it can’t be good.

It would be alot of fun to see the FBS playoff increase to 8 teams, and let the highest rated G5 team in.  But the NCAA establishment seems to be fine with the status quo of 4 teams right now. 

The thing I don't get is that there is always 1, sometimes 2 P5 conferences that get left out.   The PAC12 is a prime example.  Seems like they would put more of a stink for expanding the playoffs.

Here's the rub, if we still had the BCS, Clemson wouldn't even have been there because tOSU was the, "better" team.  With 120 teams that all play different schedules, it's virtually impossible to get the four, "best" every year.  Eight, with P5 Champs, G5 Champ, and two at-large takes out most of the guess work.

That may be, but they were ranked 3 and would have been left out of the BCS

Which would have been totally ridiculous.  

The BCS had these types of issues almost every year, where somebody deserving was left out.

The 4 team playoff is better, but certainly not perfect.  I still think they should go to an 8 team format.

I think the FBS and the CFP will just count their money and let the FCS keep their format.
