If he does have solid grades and qualifies for Bright Futures, he might have to take a walk-on spot until he can get an athletic scholarship.  I know it's not the best situation, but D1 and stay in Florida, it's probably the only option.  It sounds like he has the talent.

After looking at his offer list, looks like he has offers from FAU and FSU for in-state so I guess he'll end up at one of those.

Per his coach, he has no commitable FBS offers ...

247 is predicting 100% to FAMU

FAMU has a new coach people are talking about. So far they have gotten a few decent transfers and commits. Maybe the team might actually shine as much as the band next year lol But Jalil Core has nobody to blame but himself. He had the offers, he choose to be picky.

Which commitable offers did he turn down?

I was just going by the recruiting sites that list those offers.  They've been wrong before.  The coach sounds more reliable.

We just don't know, though. Did he have commitable offers before like Gator said but just didn't pull the trigger but now has none and the coach is kind of protecting him in that regards?

The 247 website list close to 15 offers. I doubt they would mistakenly list 15 offers. Either way, Im happy for FAMU.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
